Organic Chemistry is one of those topics that students tend to dread in college. My approach to learning and teaching O-chem is maintaining a positive attitude toward learning and a willingness to put in the time and effort to master a brand new chemical language! No reaction is inherently too difficult to comprehend, and with the right practice problems, students will start to see O-chem as an art more than a tedious science!

I studied molecular genetics as part of my rudimentary coursework at UCLA. From the onset of Mendelian Genetics, to the more complex advancements in gene technology, I can help students approach genetics problems in a way that makes sense. Topics of interest include: pedigree analysis, karyotyping, meiosis and mitosis and genetic orders that result from nondisjunctions, genetic engineering, ethics and a variety of other topics as well.

Cody is helping my son freshman in HS with Honors Geometry! We have had two sessions and my son has gone from a D to a B on quizzes! Cody has gone back and filled in the blanks that were missing from the beginning of the year. Cody is an amazing tutor! UCI is notorious for it's difficult Chemistry classes, but Cody was able to convey the material in a way that was both easy to understand and memorable. Cody helped me a lot throughout chemistry even though I met him when I was halfway through the class. He helped me understand the concepts in General Chemistry I. If you need help with any chemistry classes, I would recommended him because he has a great knowledge on the subject. I ended up getting a 92 on the Final Exam at my school because of how he helped me with the general concepts in Chemistry. I ended up getting a B in the class. I would recommend him if you are struggling with chemistry or are starting a chemistry class and need some help. He also is on time with the tutoring sessions. If I had take another chemistry class in the future, I would definitely ask him to help me because of how much he knows about the concept.
